Summer Fun w/ the PRIMOS!

July 2008

This summer has been all about reading, swimming, movies, tennis, and being with the PRIMOS! My children are so blessed to have so many cousins here in Houston. I know I only have two kids, but at times it feels that we are a party of five and I LOVE IT!!

Kris's Graduation Party our new beautiful cousins from Miami

Our summer has been full of activites and pool - pool - pool! These kids can spend the ENTIRE day at the pool! They never become tired of swimming or playing with all their pool toys...

End of the Year - Wesley Academy

May 2008

AS usual another BLESSING of a year at Wesley Academy. If you are looking for a great Christian environment, friendly and loving teachers, a Principal that goes beyond measure and fantastic student/teacher ratios... this school has that and more!!!
Isabela had one of her BEST years yet in Fourth Grade at Wesley. Finishing up the year with A's and B's! She even achieved her goal of getting an A in Math! Praise the Lord!!!! This is really huge for her :) But I knew she could do it!

Her teacher, Tudy Spellman received an A++ from us for a terriffic school year!

Kenneth Joel had a great year as well. We are very proud to announce that the only time he went to the Principal's office was when he went to Ms. Castenedo's for an Auction party. There a few Kinder and 1st grade students had pizza and tons of ice cream and goodies!

Wesley Academy's End of the Year pool party was a blast for all the kids - See the pictures :)

Isabela's Fourth Grade Class - A Great Smart Friendly Group!
Hannah, Alan, Tre, Jacob, Abbey and Isa

Attached is a short video of the Talent Show. Kenneth and I help Sra. Ruiz with the Sixth grade "Merengue Dance" choreography. The kids even gave themselves a group name. They were known as MD 10. These stood for M Merengue D Dancers and 10 for the total in the group. It was a great success and the kids were amazing! :)

True Cousin Love :)

May 2008

Kenneth Joel and Vera Joel don't just have their middle names in common - they share a unique admiration for one another that you usually don't find in younger children.

These photos were taken outside my home as we waiting for her daddy to pick her up! Kenneth Joel insisted in carrying her out. I knew this was going to be worth taking pictures off. It also helps that they are both so photogenic!!!

I captured their affection for one another in these pictures - Enjoy!

Alicia Keys - May 2008

GR8
SHOW!

This is a long story - I will fill in the details later - Kenneth bought tickets at the last minute and suprised me with quiet a story :) Monica, my sister's BFF bought invited her to the concert as a birthday gift. As God would have it, the tickets that Kenneth purchased a month later were in the same section that Monica and Chris were in. We also invited my cousin and her husband to join us! We had a blast!!! Seats were great and the food was good too :) Jimmy Chaves was also there directly in front of us across the stage.

Are they not the cutest things you've ever seen! Laly (that's what we call her - on my dad's side EVERY single cousin has a nickname - so funny) had another boy - that's #3 - She looks great even with all those boys in her house! What a blessing! :)

Isabela Turns 10!

Isa is quiet a Chef - She made the cupcakes for her fiesta!

My baby girl turned 10 - a milestone birthday if you ask me. We decided to have a pool party at the Quillian big pool. She is a swimming fanatic! Thank God my parents are a few doors down and have a pool! :)

Getting ready to eat pizza!

BY THE GRACE OF GOD, the sun came out from 2:30-4:30pm. That was the time of the party. It had been raining the entire day before and after those times. God's favor!!! We (of course) played soccer after the party on the fields...

The Boat was a hit!

All her friends were there, everyone came out aside from the possible bad weather and we really appreciated it!!

Isabela
is a very athletic, witty, sensitive, polite, adventurous, loving, crafty young girl - I am so proud of all her accomplishments so far. She is really looking forward to attending Wesley for her 6th year now. There she will be on the Volleyball, basketball, and track team. Go ISA!!! Happy Birthday and remember I LOVE YOU MORE THAN CHOCOLATE : )
